All about Overseas Nurses

International Qualified Nurses (IQNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) from other countries who wish to join Kidney Australia's home-based dialysis service can follow these steps:

 

1. Meet the requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in dialysis service
• Registered Nurse in their home country
• English language proficiency: IELTS 7.0 or equivalent

 

2. Register with AHPRA and NMBA:

• Pass the Outcomes-Based Assessment to become a Registered Nurse in Australia before working with Kidney Australia .

 

Note: Kidney Australia may support IQNs throughout the registration and employment process, with potential smooth transition to working in Australia.
